About the Event
This Personal Safety, Effective Communication and Conscious Listening training will help operators, managers and staff be better prepared to deal with personal safety issues, increase staff confidence as the result of having more choices in dealing with safety issues at work, increase moral all leading to a reduced number of incidents and increase in staff performance and gain a further understanding of what another person is thinking or feeling through Conscious Listening. Over the two module training, Topics Covered will be: The objectives for this training include: Understanding Aner; “My Usual Approach, My Concerns, What I Want From This Training” Key Points about Anger: What Angry People Want and Need and The Game of Anger How We Communicate Reading the Warning Signs and De-Escalation Interventions Transforming the Language The Communication Stances and Conflict Management Styles Conscious Listening: Listening with Intention Self Care This 6 hour training is broken up into 2 modules (3 hours each). You will need to register only once and attend both modules to receive the 6 hours of mental health training for Residential Facility Class 2 licensure and certification.
